Guidance Counselor

I can’t tell you all the way to make a living
that is your business, you’ve got to be what you should be
all i know is i don’t worry about tomorrow
all i know is that’s the way it works for me

i don’t mind if it rains on my vacation
i don’t care if i gotta go sleep out in the hall
i don’t care if my roof might leak a little
some might have a fit, but that don’t bother me at all

got no plans, i don’t know nothing about my future
i think i used to have some kind of 401(k)
i have no interest in what wain’ around the corner
got nothing going after about three o’clock today

and i don’t put no stock in my possessions
as a matter of fact i’m trying to lighten my load
all we really have is time to love one another
everything else is just rocks in the road
